The trend I'm researching from is called Hacktivate. It's very DIY inspired, with a retro childish feel. It's really making me feel nostalgic for the 90's. As my key inspiration I've been looking at a Kidult type view on the trend. I want to bring the idea of my childhood into prints and silhouette shapes to make the designs have a fun element to them. So... here's my top 5 childhood toys;
5. Furby, I remember getting one of these for my 9th Birthday =D |
4.Pokemon Cards, every kid collected them when I was little. |
3. Sylvannian Families, I never actually had any but I used to LOVE going round to my friends house to play with them, she had it allll. |
2. Polly Pocket. I actually had this one I loved it, when you pressed it the button bubbles went into the bath. Shame the Polly's are no longer pocket sized. |
Ok, so this may seem a little off track. But the idea to take this in a "Kidult" type direction had a feeling a little sentimental =D |
